Delighted with the 7-1 win and it was great to see us being ruthless for once. I hope very much that we’ve turned the corner, but as has been mentioned before here, “I can take the despair, it’s the hope I can’t stand.” Sunderland away will be very tricky, and especially with the trip to Milan coming up, I was very surprised that with half an hour to go, VP wasn’t withdrawn having notched his hat trick. If that wasn’t an opportunity for Wenger to rest him as he’s apparently in the “red zone” and introduce Inamoto, sorry Park, when is the right time? I fully endorse everyone complimenting Coquelin. Even playing out of position, he’s now far more capable than Jenkinson will be, and like Park, Mertesacker and Santos, those are four purchases that make no sense when others were available for similar prices. Finally, those who take exception to truegooner- just ignore him. He’s this site’s troll and gets his kicks from winding people up and getting attention. He’s been banned before and if you don’t rise to the bait he’ll have nothing to say and disappear.

Let’s no too carried away. It was a very good performance but let’s be honest, Blackburn are very, very poor. Much bigger tests will present themselves very soon.
