Mertesacker did a good enough job, of course he will take a while to adjust to the premier league – he joined up with the team very late because of the international break also. you watch him keep us another clean sheet against Dortmund too.

Arsenal arent a team where new players can just come and slot in positions like theyve played their for seasons. But Arteta is the first player in a long time who entirely convinced me, at least ssince Arshavin’s first season in the squad.

I just don’t get the mass hysteria after yesterdays game. I predicted that we will not score a lot of goals not bcos of effort or guile but bcos of the following:

1. Technical adjustments that had to be made in lieu of new players,

2. Getting over the psychological trauma of old trafford, and

3. The transfer hangover from pre-season.

Folks forget that the players are also human beings and it takes time to get over disappointments in life. The notion that the players are professional footballers so they should just get on with it is shallow…

I hear that Ramsey has done his ankle and would miss the game in Dortmund.

The belief will come slowly through the players, we’ll see better football come as more confidence comes too.
