Agree with the starts of the season but how do we compare with the top 6 on the close. Seems to me where we trip up every year.

  • devday

    @ Steve:
The problem is that it doesn’t matter who we have. We will implode anyway!!

  • Ryteous

I think its cul.we will know how we will perform in the challenge from the beginning by playing big teams

  • yemi

I think i prefer Samba, He would be an asset when it comes to set pieces (at both ends of the pitch !!!

  • Kodjo

Guys what do you think…will Eto be a good fit for arsenal???

  • Vazy

didn’t Eto and song have a massive falling out and song refused to shake Etos hand the other day? i swear they and another player just got fined for it during an international..

maybe not the best player to bring to us if its going to create disharmony … or more disharmony than we may or may not have at the moment

  • Bonathan

happy with the fixture list. tough opeing but we usually get in our stride b4 united. the big games seem pretty evenly distributed after that. no other real run of tough games. not as it looks now anyway!

As for the CB debate, i just hope we don’t get samba. he’s good, but he ain’t that good. i’d sooner have cahill, jagielka or hangeland. please wenger, just stump up the money for this one buy. this happened last year when we ended up with squillaci. just please dip in to the warchest for this one buy.

I’m now thinking there’s a realistic chance of cesc staying, and i feel nasri will also stay. If that’s the case, then cahill, gervinho (is he as good as they say he is? i’m not convinced, but let’s hope), and chaimberlain would maybe do it. i’d probably go for given or schwartzer as well but i’d forgive him if he didn’t as long as we get the others.

i think we’d have good options all over the pitch then.

    @ Dev

    new season, new optimism

    fair enough!
though it is from goal.com.. i dont trust anything from there ever since the “joe cole signs pre contract with arsenal exclusive”

if eto comes, id be a happy man, as long as it doesn’t mess up song! and if those reports are to be believed, bring him in!

  • Vazy

this off season is soooo booorrrriiinngg!

england u21s went out with a fizzle, and the constant hum of cesc&nasri-athon is doing my nut in as per usual!

  • Vazy

every story i read is clearly full of cr*p too, we are getting this player… no we arnt… we arnt going for this player… yes we are… wait.. no were not…then the joey barton thing is just painful.. i never want to see him play football let alone in an arsenal shirt

  • JDD

i agree goal isnt very reliable , nothing is theses days. only believe what i see on arsenal.com.

i disagree with your comment about barton i think he would be a good addition he would add some fight to our team and he is a good passer of the ball.however i highly doubt wel sign him and if we did he wudnt be close to making our starting 11.
