Apologies for a lack of a match preview, but somehow this fixture has snuck up on all of us… still seething from back to back defeats in League and Champions League… today’s line up is:

Fabianski

Sagna – Squillaci – Koscielny – Clichy

Rosicky – Song – Wilshere

Nasri – Chamakh – Arshavin

With a bench of:

Szczesny, van Persie, Walcott, Denilson, Djourou, Gibbs, Bendtner…

And for Villa, it’s:

Friedel, Luke Young, Dunne, Collins, Warnock, Ashley Young, Clark, Bannan, Downing, Pires, Carew.
Subs: Guzan, Ireland, Delfouneso, Beye, Hogg, Lichaj, Herd.

COME ON YOU REDS!!! (although we’re playing in yellow!)….

    Great first half (Although villa made it easy for us), dodgy, edgy second half, we almost couldn’t cope we the villa surge.
    In my opinion, Arshavin had probably his best game of the season. Nasri !!! What else can we say about nasri. We could easily have won the game first half, but we still decide to make it a bit tough. Fabianski also had a good game but boy what can we say about friedel ! Again

    Koscielny and clichy were found wanting a couple of times.
    Did anyone alslo notice that ashley young started having a way when he change from sagna’s side to clichy’s.

    i think wenger said earlier in the week he picked up the slightest knock but he was fine but i suppose we were never in a desperate position so he didnt bother risking him. surely he will be starting next weekend though!!

    OMG are you serious, he got injured again!!! We need to get rid of him this summer, yes I know he is a top player but come on enough is enough. Get rid of RVP, Bendtner and Vela. Buy Hazard, Lukaku and a marquee signing like Hulk or Benzema to replace RVP.
