23 WOA's
9 days ago marked the 2 year anniversary of the World of Arsenal, and 795 articles later and 12, 821 comments later, we’ve grown from the very first wordpress.com site, and gone through 2 redesigns to get to where we are now.
Myself and JAT have been bringing you our view on everything Arsenal, and more recently, we have been delighted to have Wills and Debs on board.
We have a full time sponsor in Gadgetee.com – they pay for the hosting and support our cause – and all advertising revenue will be presented to The Great Ormand Street Hospital supporting the cause. Overall, unlike other some of the other sites out there, we are totally not-for-profit and don’t censor our reader comments.
So, today, 9 days after the WOA 2 year anniversary, I find myself at work, on my actually birthday – I turn 29 today – with a smile on my face, a glee at WOA and a massive thank you to all the readers who read daily on the site, on facebook, through the feed or email. Thank you for all your support and may it long continue…
Til later, adios.

Happy birthday, Dev. And congratulations again for WoA!

Eboue should start against Stoke. Play Campbell instead of Silvestre if we have to. For the first time ever we since I remember we can say this, Stoke will be a bit tired due to fatigue because of extra games being played. Yes. Stoke. Fatigue. Extra match. Arsenal 2 – 0 Stoke. Anyone + Rosicky.
Forget Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool, this Saturday’s match at Stoke is our most important of the season. Every season throws up matches that define your season and this is one of those. In the not so distant past losses at Bolton and Birmingham (Ed’s note – It’s interesting how these matches have become perceived as defeats over the years, when, assuming we are talking 2003 and 2008, points were lost, but not the games) have altered the course of Arsenal’s season from looking like champions to falling short.
I truly believe that if we can get a win at Stoke the title is on. After our two disastrous visits to the Britannia Stadium I think a win there will start to build the momentum and confidence we need to go on a winning run that could still see us pipping Chelsea and Man U to the title. In a season with so few positives the chance that we could still finish top is beyond belief, but people forget in a mini league of the top four last season, Man U were last but still won the league.
Granted, they didn’t lose in the manner we have to the top two this season, but to have dropped 12 points against them but still be only 5 and 6 points behind is amazing. One thing has never changed – the team that wins the title is the one that finishes top after 38 games, not the one that wins matches against the other big four clubs.
The latest news on RVP is encouraging too. Is it just a dream that he will return at the start of April to spearhead us to glory? Our shortcomings are there for us all to see but if we can carry on doing what we’ve done well this season and beat the teams you expect us to we could well be on an open top bus in May with more than a good balance sheet to show off. Here’s hoping. Keep the faith.
Belated Happy Birthday matey! Have a great time. Thanks once again for this Amazing blog site.
