Even though I want to win a trophy as much as the rest of you, let’s keep our senses about us. Every year we get to support a club that is in the thick of things, that plays beautiful football, that is in the Champions League, that is always shown on the tele around the world, and that will not crumble in the future due to financial problems.

Be happy we are gunners. It could be worse! We could have been born Sp*rs fans!!! Yes, I am disappointed we lost to ManU and don’t buy fancy transfer targets; but I recognize it is better to be where we are than where most others are.

We lost to sunderland and pple did not make as much noise as this. I think the problem actually is the manner of the loss.
We tot man u would struggle without ronaldo, they really arenn’t, we tot chelski would struggle during the ACN, but they didn’t.

I don’t really think its as bad as it looks.. You don’t necessary need to win against the Top 3/4 clubs to win the league. So losing the match against Man U just proves that we find it difficult to play against team that sit and hit us on the break. Arsenal also plays the counter-attack game at the same time we don’t necessary sit and wait for the opponent to attack before we attack. I think Wenger should try such plans against top teams..sit back and hit them on the counter. I feel that should work also if are full backs are getting forward a lot, I expect Denilson and Song most especially not to cross the half line to check any form of contact.. just the way Makelele used to do for Chelski. Anyways back to the league.. its not over until its over ManU can and will still drop points.. What is the guarantee that Chelski will win the next game or even the next one against Arsenal. So its still looks Good. We are playing the Top teams early in the year which is a very good thing, so that takes the pressure off us if we can actually win the remaining games only even without a big man upfront.

I mean I’ve said all along, “Win, Lose or Draw.. Gooner Til I Die!!” I can understand people frustrations and disappointment towards the performance and players not playing to their own ability, but I dont agree with the slating of them or the Manager. As a true suppoter, you have to back Manager, players, team as a whole and even the the backroom staff for the work and preparation they put into to get out there and play and perform for those who watch and love. IMO

It’s hard to take any positves out of watching your team getting beaten and having no real reply. It’s hard watching your players deflate as the ball hits the back of their net. Seeing Vermaelen’s face as the ball went in yesterday I think hurt more than the 3rd goal going in. I know we can play better and be more precise, but yesterday wasn’t our day, there’s nothing we can do now other than preparefor Ch*lsea and hope they capatlise on their mistakes, learn from them and ensure they are all focused for that game.

If the players came down on themselves as much and as hard as some fans do after a game like yesterday, they wouldn’t have the confidence to walk onto the pitch, nevermind playing a team.

I say just stick by your team, no matter what happens. Everything they do, everything that happens.

@ Vazy, firstly the doom merchants are entitled to express there opinions the same as everyone else. They are struggling to see any improvements to our beloved Arsenal in the last 5 trophyless seasons. We need to understand that we have a fine balance between paying off our debt and investing in the team.

Do you pay off the debt and let the team suffer or pay out on world class players and prolong our debt. The doom merchants as you call them are the latter and the “in Arsene we trust” crew are the previous and are happy to be patient for the greater good. At the end of the day we all want the same thing…Arsenal to be winners once again!!!

I for one would rather we pay off the debt and keep ticking over our top four finishes, this season we have been fortunate that other teams around us have kept us in the title race and we may still have a decent run in but we need to start putting our chances away.
