Before you tell me, I already now… I am running late for the game…. the aim was to be there at 2pm to spend an hour around the ground, but it looks like I’m going to make it just in time for kick off (again)….
Team news ahead of the game sees a host of people out injured (again)… Theo Walcott (hamstring), Robin Van Persie (ankle), Kieran Gibbs (foot), Nicklas Bendtner (groin), Gael Clichy (back), Abou Diaby (calf) and Johan Djourou (knee) are all out injured and Alex Song joins them out by suspension, so the team line up should be something like this:
Almunia
Sagna – Gallas – Vermaelen – Traore
Ramsey – Denilson
Nasri – Cesc – Arshavin
Eduardo
I’m virtually sure that it will be that line up unless Arsene springs a surprise or two… the gaffer is keen to get to winning ways:
“We are disheartened after recent defeats. We are not light-hearted at the moment, I don’t deny that. But I believe it is a good way to see how strong we can react. Of course I believe the players are disappointed but highly motivated and determined to get back on track in a convincing way. I believe we have been disturbed a lot by the international break. We didn’t look at all like we were suffering before and we had a period when, in fairness, we were doing well. But we had then ‘bang, bang’ and we’ve had no time to respond because we have so many players out in the same area. Now I believe that it’s important we don’t do more damage and that we respond quickly.”

this really is not wengers fault! how can he know he is going to have about 7 players out injure in one go! we are the unluckiest team in the world and luck aint getting on our side anytime soon !!

Apparently Thomas Sorensen has saved two and conceded only one goal from the last five penalties he has faced in the Premier League. I feel better about the penalty now! Lol
more important that any scoreline is the fact we got a cleansheet! that is so important. only downer is that eboue and traore went off with knocks and it looked like arshavin was limping off at fulltime. luckily the big boys get a weeks rest becuase weneger will rest them for the champions league game! it sounds like arshavin was slipping through on goal a lot today! COME ON YOU MAN CITY beat the SCUM

I’d like a City win since I think we can still win the league. Adebayor just makes things difficult for us…he did the same when he was a Gunner…hmm… Very happy with our win, bemoan the 5 injuries we got today tho (Eboue, Edu, Rosicky, Traore, Gallas). Sounds as if Traore had a decent game Leeroy…didn’t c it myself tho. And Debs, if that’s true, Arsene should reply to that bid with an e-mail…and all that the e-mail will say is “lol”… short and sweet…they’ll need to go figure!!
….. I never knew I’d say this, but am rooting for Man City. A draw will great for us. Keeps us ahead of city and in sight if Chelsea

glad to get back from our run of losses, hopefully everybody will be rested for the champions league game, and any niggly knocks will be ok by the time we play liverpool. Glad city are winning 2-1, gives us chance to close the gap. Get in lads.

everyone said the title race was over last week because we were 11 points behind look what can change in a week.we could be 8 behind with a game in hand a game at home against bolton that we should win therefore we could be 7 behind with half the season still left.its not looking so bad antmore is it? if we can stay within 7 points of the leaders by january we will still have good chance.

Yeah Debs…i think wanting a draw is having a fear of City beating us to 4th or 3rd but if we have that ambition to win the league, 5 points is perfect (of course assuming we win that game in-hand)!
No, not worried about Citeh finishing ahead of us- just didn’t want them to win because I can’t stand Mark Hughes’ smugness. Also, they’d drawn their last 7(?) games, and I wanted to laugh some more if they did draw again. But now the media’ll go on that Citeh have only lost once this season, and that was in extra-time to Man U.
We should win our game in hand- it’s against Bolton, and at the Emirates as well. Bolton can’t seem to buy a win- let’s just hope I haven;’t jinxed it! Lol
Well yeah…normally, I’d b thinkin like that Debs…wouldn’t usually give up a chance to laugh at Mark Huges myself! lol But I meant personally, if I wanted a draw, the reason would have more been a fear of Citeh bein in front of us. so hopefully diaby is back next week and that will give us a full midfield with the choice of either denilson or diaby and obviously song will carry on his defensive mid position! nasri has to play on one of the front free and arshhavin done 10 times better than eduardo did through the middle so eddy can play on the wing coming inside and let arshavin carry on in the middle! just out luck as we have none liverpool could have gerrard torres and aquilani ready to play next weekend which is a joke as they havent played together all season! we have to just go for them becuase i dont think they will be able to handle a fully firing gunners! COME ON GOOONERS !!!!
