I honestly have to say, when the teams came out, I thought Liverpool would edge it, but our youngsters and reserves were brilliant!

The midfield was superb, and some of the passing looked better than the first team at times! Eduardo looked a little isolated up front at times but I think Wenger put Bendtner on the wing to win headers against Insua.

Craig Eastmond had a great game in the holding midfield role, and Gibbs put in one hell of a performance!

Well played boys, bring on the next round!

Biggest success story from last nights game… CRAIG EASTMOND!! He was all over the pitch, constantly breaking down the Liverpool attacks.

Great vision and reading of the game and looked calm and composed on the ball, always looking for the simple ball to supply our creative players. Can spread a pass too!!

We looked a lot more fragile in the last 15mins after he was substituted… I have to admit I had no idea who he was until last night, but it looks like you’ve done it again Mr Wenger!!

They do have the same build, although I think Merida is slightly taller. But yeah, that was a cracker. The last 10mins and the 4mins of extra time were ridiculous. I was such a nervous wreck! One would have thought it was the CL Final or something! But yeah, surprise surprsie- we didn’t concede a goal in the 2nd half! Senderos and Silvestre were brilliant, so were our full-backs. Good stuff! Praying for a home draw in the quarters!!!
