So, it’s day 5 of the “Ade-bye-yawn” story and it’s been evident that he has wanted to go for some time, and in reality, his re-signing last year was down twofold:
1) To keep him at the club for another year
2) To ensure his value if he were to leave this summer
The nonsense that Adebayor has created about his relationship with the fans is his way of looking like the nice guy – but really, any player can win over the fans – good player, show desire and talk the talk.
Adebayor – after all the fans stuck by you in your early years, you slap us in the face and then blame us for your departure.
Good riddance, is what I say… yes, he does score goals, but his attitude isn’t right…
Andrei Arshavin has been in the press today and he knows that it’s time for Ade to move on…
“I think it is very difficult for Arsenal and Adebayor as well.
“He is an excellent striker. Everybody knows him and he can score from nothing. But it is his decision whether he wants to stay or he wants to go.
“We have Arsene. He knows everything. He knows if we need someone then he will buy.”
Very true – that’s it Arshavin believe in your manager, he knows what is right – even if playing you on the left is right! You know what I mean…
Arshavin also talked about what he has to do as a player and how although scoring four goals at Anfield, has to do more and do it regularly to show the world what he is all about…
“Most people recognise me as a boy who scored four goals. Now I have to prove it happened because I am a strong player.”
Okie dokie, I am off to Boston right now for a nice American wedding so will be in touch when I land… adios for now…
