the march, I’ve yet to preview today’s actual game. It’s the final day of the season and the final game of the season as far as the Premier League is concerned, and today we’ll see a bit of a party atmosphere and relaxed play on a very sunny and cloudless day here in the capital.

Team news, is that of course, Adebayor is out of the squad, suffering a “groin injury”, so I’d expect to see Bendtner and Van Persie up front. If the Dutchman is chosen to be rested you may see Carlos Vela get a rare outing, but at the moment, that’s just speculation. With Arshavin and Walcott the chosen two on the wings (aided by Nasri’s absence through injury), we’ll probably see Cesc an Denilson in the middle, with Song at the back… here’s my team line-up:

Fabianski

Sagna – Toure – Song – Gibbs

Walcott – Denilson – Cesc – Arshavin

Van Persie – Bendtner

With the bench of Mannone, Eboue, Silvestre, Djourou, Ramsey, Merida andVela

Arsene spoke on the game and said:

“The game is very important. As much as it was to show a great response at Man United. We have to show our quality, finish well and start well again next season. I personally believe that this team, considering the age of the whole squad, has done fantastically well since November. We were unlucky in one or two circumstances but we have consistency and quality. The job is not finished with this team. In fact it starts now.”

Time to head down to the game – I’ll keep it short today so I can come back later and join in the post-game debate!

Well this is a first I think, me getting the first comment I mean, good match today, good result and we were unlucky not to score more! Good way to finish the season and i’m looking forward to a couple of new signings in the summer!

  2. Cappz says on :

Amazing match… no pressure for the team and we’re awesome…!!

  3. Arsefan101 says on :

Definitely positive notes on the couple of signings. Arsene has re-iterated various times that he is going to add to the squad. I still have no idea who he will bring in!

  4. AJ says on :

Well if he keeps his word and goes for expierenced players it will make a world of difference, but I will still expect one or two youngsters to come in just because it’s him and he’s always looking towards the future.

    < ![CDATA[Very true AJ!

It's amazing to read the newspapers because we've been linked with so many under 23 year olds... but I really think he will invest in two experienced heads this summer. I'm sure he knows that with all this potential and youth, we just need some experience to help the team kick on!]]>

He’s spoken again about add one or two players… and keeping everyone, although he says he expects Man City to make a huge bid for Adebayor… no smoke without fire?

Arsefan101 – Bassong is 23 I think and he’s been heavily linked after Newcastle’s relegation, what do you think of him? How old is Haageland?
