Good to see Szczesny on the bench after his injuries, but I would have expected Mannone to be on the bench. Maybe he’s injured or something?
Uh-oh. 1-0 down and Djourou has been injured. Not looking good :S
Almost exactly the same thing that happened at Villareal. We’ve got to win this though!
We have got firepower on the bench this time… Vela, Van Persie & Adebayor…
Half time. Not a good start for us, and another injury isn’t what we need. But there’s still 45 mins left and the lads have shown character in tough situations. Hope this second half is a good’un for us!
Get in Theo!
THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOO!!!!
My word! 2-1 to the Arsenal!!! Silvetre scores!!!
Silvestre just bought himself some space in a few fans’ good books (me included!) with that goal! Hope he doesn’t do anything to change that! lol
< ![CDATA[Innit haha :)
There's a pattern emerging in the last few games. We have aweful first-halfs, then amazing second halfs lol.
RvP just had a goal disallowed :(]]>
< ![CDATA[True! Zohaib always moans about the fact that we're always slow to start games.
Unlucky RvP. I hope we score another! :)]]>
< ![CDATA[Man, Chelsea were 4-0 up, and now hanging on to a 4-3 lead! With them playing Liverpool before they play us next Saturday, hopefully it'll take it's toll on them and we can capitalise.
Good afternoon of football so far!]]>
3-1 to the Arsenal, 3-1 to the Arsenal
Arshavin scores!!!
< ![CDATA[Yeah, I think Chelsea leaking goals like that will give Liverpool and us (in the FA cup) huge confidence. I feel more confident about the FA cup now!
And Arshavin scores! Woo!]]>
4-1! Brilliant!
Get in Song!
< ![CDATA[4-1, Alex Song scores :)
Second-half masters!!! lol :D :D :D]]>
< ![CDATA[Haha, good stuff Debs!
Can hardly believe it. I was so deflated at half-time! What a turn around :)]]>
< ![CDATA[Massive goal-fest today in the PL. 28 goals so far, one more game to go! Brilliant stuff. MOTD a must-see!
I think we're officially the kings of the 2nd half! lol]]>
< ![CDATA[Yeah Pete! I was a tad worried, but I kept remembering that we were in a similar position against Villareal and we turned it around.
It actually reminds me of last season you know, when if teams score against us first, we usually come back and do exactly what we did today. It took us a while to get going today but likeI say, when we play, we really play. Massive credit to the lads, cos I thought they'd be tired after Villareal. We should be able to finish the job on wednesday, fingers crossed. And no more injuries please!]]>
In the other match, Man Utd golden boy seems done it again… what a boy… Next generation of PL will be Arsenal vs Man Utd, no doubt…
And happy St. Totteringham’s Day ppl!!!
< ![CDATA[Good performance yesterday, but have to say their were times when Fabianski, Gibbs and Silvestre looked vulnerable.
The attacking play was great though, and it tells you alot about fitness levels that we tend to dominate 2nd halves.
Also got to rest Ade and RvP for most of the game, so looks good for Weds.
Any news on Djourou?]]>
Plus Villareal lost 2-0 to Malaga yesterday and apparently Senna will be out for the QF on weds. Should help us control the midfield a bit more, he was key to them on tues.
< ![CDATA[Wenger said that Djourou "looks like he'll be out for Wednesday's game", which is a bummer, but hopefully that also means he'll be alright for next Saturday *fingers crossed*.
Thats a bit of a bonus for us if Senna isn't able to play the second leg on Wednesday.
Also, Everton drew with Aston Villa today, which was probably the best possible result for us. We probably need a few more wins before 4th spot is definately our of reach for them though, especially if we progress in the FA Cup and Champions League.]]>
