Much a do about nothing…

“I don’t know anything. I am very happy at Arsenal. It is true AC Milan are a great club. It is flattering to know you are followed by such a team.” Arsene is the other person to make a little squeak this transfer window and he has touched on the youth policy versus bringing in established signings. We’ve seen players like Bendtner, Walcott, Djourou, Denilson and Song really get their chances this season and all of them have started to come through now after a dodgy start to the season.

“I knew when I decided to go for a young team what would hit me,” he said. “I was prepared for that. I am pleased that I was not wrong but we have a long way to go and a lot to improve.”
With Arshavin joining and Eduardo coming back, we’ve got a bit more International pedigree. I don’t want to sound like a Sp*rs supporter, but next season could really be the start of something special. And that’s about it for today. More tomorrow.]]>

Lets just hope next season is the one.

< ![CDATA[The irnoy is, this season could still be the one. MAthematically in contention for the league, in the fa cup and in the champions league we could potentially still do the treble! Of course it's far from likely - extremely unlikely. The league is all but United's. We have some serious competition ahead of us in the cups as well, but it's still possible that we could still win something! What a surprise ending to the season that would be, and what a way for the team to repay Arsenes faith!]]>

< ![CDATA[Yeah I know Dan. expectation is also high. Wenger has been ranting or should I say commending his youth team. Am not arguing the quality but what am saying is the teams improvement lately has been clearly down to the experience and quality of the player added. We have been saying this for the last 3 years and he only conceded early this year;t hat been said, Arshavin from my opinion isnt Wengers buy. He is our buy, Arsenal fans buy. Am sure this forum and other fans forum must have fuelled the decision to get him. Why I say this is for Wenger to give honour to those whom honour is due, the fans and more credit to the deserved players. Its too early to start rantng though, that Wenger should know too. All the same hope next season bests this season, but first some players have to go. you guys as well as I do know them; your guesses is as good as mine.]]>

< ![CDATA[Hmmm, cant help think that if we'd got Arshavin in the summer in stead of the January window, we'd have been in a better position by now. Until he arrived, it always felt as if we were a man short, and with how other teams have faultered, perhaps we could have capitalised better than we did. Every season sees all the teams buy and sell players, not to mention which clubs get promoted/relegated. Take Hull for example. They've hurt quite a few teams this season and their impact has had a big say in where other teams come in the League Table. Squad dynamics change with every transfer window, which also plays a big part in how a team does, and its interesting not only to see who we decide to sign, but also the other teams. Plus, factor in the players who get injured ontop of all of that. Just think, if Fabregas had't have gotten injured, I'm not so sure Wenger would have been able to sign Arshavin. I feel the competition in the Premiere League is going to be even more challenging next season than this year, as this year virtually every team has had a bad spell, no one has been completely consistant, and everyone will learn from this experience and be trying to keep ahead of the pack in who they sign for next year. I'm still of the opinion that we could at least win the FA Cup this year. Its a competition where we have all our best players eligible to play in. If we're lucky and play at our best, then the Champions League is possible too, but there's still a lot to do.]]>
