Eduardo starts as strong line up is announced…

The line up tonight sees the following formation and personnel:

Coquelin – Hoyte – Rodgers – Gibbs
Wilshere – Randall – Ramsey – Merida
Eduardo – Simpson

All of the other players having featured in the Carling Cup this season.

Neil Banfield spoke ahead of the game:

“Eduardo is starting tonight. He has trained for the last couple of weeks and he has looked sharper and sharper every time. We’re all delighted that he’s making his return tonight against Portsmouth. It is a fantastic boost to have him back. It was a horrific injury and he’s done ever so well. I think it is a credit to Tony Colbert, the whole medical team and the backroom staff who have got him fit. I have seen him train from the first steps he took on what has been a very long road for him and they really have done a great job with him.”

Awesome news. Kick off at 7pm.]]>

< ![CDATA[good first half! Or rather, impressive first half! A few bad first touches at the start, but wow, impressive! He could have had a pen in the first few mins, or even scored a goal, but for a brilliant save from the 'keeper. Bentner's position's so under threat now lol!
I noticed that a few times, he seems to be playing on the left wing... More proof that Wenger may not buy a winger, (Wenger-winger- nice rhyme lol) seeing as we've got a few players that can double up as wingers, but yeah, Eduardo's back! Not 100% obviously, but so far so good!]]>

That was pleasing! It must be said! Eduardo is back… looked good… will get his sharpness back with time. Could have had two goals but that would have been a bonus on what was already a really good night for him! Can’t put too much pressure on him too early in his come-back. Dealt with tackles he recieved pretty well which is good!! And YES Debs…Bendtner better feel threatened from an Eduardo has played just 45 mins, in 10 months!!! Bendtner…whatever shall we do with u?? lol Anyway…i hope Wenger will give Eddy some cameo appearances in some league games soon…even if it is 10 mins! Get his confidence back up! Come on Eduardo, come on Arsenal! :)

that performance just made my week! But apparently he felt something in his hamstring which was y he was withdrawn at half time, but it’s nothing too serious, according to Neil Banfield. Can’t wait for his PL debut too! I’m really really excited, but yeah, no pressure! lol

  • Fabrez!

Yeah…little niggle in the hamstring but i guess he’ll b ok.
