Young Guns brought us this story on the 1st May this year:
Sydney FC’s Mark Milligan claims he is on the Verge of joining Arsenal, and is just waiting on a Work Permit before he completes his move to the Emirates Stadium.
The 22 year old who plays as a holding midfielder, or as a central defender reportedly had a 10 day train with the Gunners last month, and Arsene Wenger had given the green light to Mark that he will be the replacement for Mathieu Flamini.
His agent also discussed the move as far back as the 1st May when he spoke to Setanta Sports:
“Mark has had interest from Arsenal but has not been offered terms at this stage.”

Well apparently, Arsene offered him a contract and the only thing holding him up is a work permit…
