Who Is Mark Milligan? Have We Signed Him?

Sydney FC’s Mark Milligan claims he is on the Verge of joining Arsenal, and is just waiting on a Work Permit before he completes his move to the Emirates Stadium. The 22 year old who plays as a holding midfielder, or as a central defender reportedly had a 10 day train with the Gunners last month, and Arsene Wenger had given the green light to Mark that he will be the replacement for Mathieu Flamini.  His agent also discussed the move as far back as the 1st May when he spoke to Setanta Sports:

“Mark has had interest from Arsenal but has not been offered terms at this stage.”
The full article can be read here… Well apparently, Arsene offered him a contract and the only thing holding him up is a work permit… If anyone has more info on this story please let me know! P.S. Here’s a quick wiki: Mark Milligan (born August 4, 1985 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player who currently plays for Australian A-League club Sydney FC. Mark is also captain of the Australian Under 23’s Olympic Squad for Beijing, and is being capped for the senior Australian National team. He is a utility defender, originally known as a Right-Back, but more recently playing in both Central Defence and Central Midfield. While Milligans future contract at Sydney FC is still in debate, Milligan has being linked to English Club Arsenal FC.]]>
