Player Highlight: Carlos Vela

Carlos Vela will return to Arsenal next season and be a part of our first team, so that’s our first signing of the season (see right under Confirmed Transfers)… He’s been on loan at Osasuna this season and yet could play a vital part of their season as a win in their final game will see the club avoid relegation. Anything but a win would see them relegated.

Carlos Vela joined Arsenal in the summer of 2006 and was immediately loaned out to Cela Vigo and UD Salamanca. He has spent the last season on loan to Osasuna, whilst he waits for his EU passport, which should be ready this summer.

Arsene is looking forward to see the boy arrive:

“We have applied for a work permit for him now. And he will be involved with the first-team next season.

“He has played the whole season at Osasuna on the left wing and he had to work hard there. But for me it is not his position he is a central striker, an Eduardo type.”

He’s going to be an exciting player, young Carlos…

  1. Come on dude Osasuna “Anything but a win would see them relegated.” Not true if the team below do not win or draw then Osasuna can stay up with a draw.
A win for Osasuna will mean they will stay up for sure which is different to what your saying.

Bring David Dein Back he was right all along sack the board!

  2. Good stuff Spartan Missile, I meant, “Anything but a win could see them relegated”…

Anyone else routing for Cardiff tomorrow?

  3. Fuck off. :D

How can you support a Welsh team in the final? :P

  4. Lol, just so Diarra loses!! But I do actually like Pompey and Harry… and the win is something they’ve deserved over the course of the campaign…!

  5. [...] chief scout, Steve Rowley, who has been instrumental on bringing Vela to the club, has recently spoken about the young Mexican and has compared to Arsenal legend, Dennis Bergkamp. [...]

  6. Good luck to all the new signings .Hope arsenal do well next season.
